F O U R months O L D!

Henry Mills, you are F O U R months old! How is that possible? It seems like just yesterday that we were headed to the hospital awaiting your arrival. You're getting so big and becoming so much F UN!

I can hardly believe you're four months old, baby boy!

This was a well check up month so we got accurate stats for you. You weighed in at a whopping 17.02 pounds--you're 80th percentile for weight! And you're 27 inches long--98th percentile. You make your daddy proud, son!
You've graduated to size 3 diapers, and size 6 month clothes fit perfectly. 6 month pajamas are getting too snug, so we got you some new 9 month jammies!

You are still a great sleeper, although you hit a rough patch when we got back from Thanksgiving break and started waking up between 2:30-4:00 every morning. Dang 4 month sleep regression. Mommy finally broke down and let you fuss it out though {I don't like the term cry it out!} and ever since then, you've been sleeping through the night again--thank goodness! At 4 months, you still go to bed between 8:00-8:30 and wake up between 5:30-6:30 to eat and then go back to sleep until 7:30-8:00. Naps are very predictable too. You take a short morning nap around 9:30, a cat nap around noon, and a good, long nap around 2:00 until 4:00ish. Some evenings you cat nap around 6:00, but some times you make it without that last little nap. love it! I like to tell people that where your brother eats to live, you live to eat! I'm still so proud of the fact that you are exclusively nursing besides your one bottle while I'm at work. When you take a bottle, you suck down 6 ounces easily. You can go longer stretches between feedings now. You go almost 5 hours between feedings in the morning, and you're trying to wean/merge your dinner  time feeding too.

You continue to be the happiest little thing. You l-o-v-e to sit up, so you sit in your sit-me-up floor seat a lot. If you're not sitting up, you want to be standing. I have a feeling you may be an early walker. You also love "riding" in your mamaroo. You're just a talking up a storm these days! If no one is paying direct attention to you, you talk louder to get our attention. You love your big brother, and he loves you too! You constantly smile at him. You laugh when mommy tickles you--it's the cutest thing. Bath time is becoming so much fun. You just kick and kick and kick and smile and laugh the entire time you're in the tub. You enjoy mommy reading you books, and *gasp* you like watching cartoons. {Insert embarrassed face emjoi.} I don't turn cartoons on for you to watch, but if they're on in the room while Chapman is watching them, you legit watch them. You started rolling over from your back to your tummy, but you don't do it consistently yet, which is fine by me! You had your first Halloween this past month. You wore your costume for a picture and then slept through trick-or-treating!

Last, but not least, some of my favorite pictures from the month...

This will forever be one of my favorites...definitely going in the wedding slide show!

We introduced you to Willies Weenie Wagon!

You carved your first pumpkin!

This was your first only dressed up for a picture because it was so hot, and then you slept through trick-or-treating!

Until next time, Mama

T H R E E months old!

Henry Mills, you are T H R E E months old! Wow! The saying is true, time flies when you're having fun. We have so much fun with you! As much as I love a cuddly newborn, there is nothing sweeter than seeing your little personality come to life with each passing day!

I can hardly believe you're three months old, sweet boy!

You are a growing baby boy! We didn't have a well check this month, but I weighed you, and you weigh 16.5 pounds. You gained 2.5 pounds in a month--wow!!

You're continuing to grow longer too. According to my measurements, you're 26 inches long now. You grew 1.75 inches in month, and you've grown 5 inches since you were born. I think it's safe to say that you're going to be built just like your daddy!

With all of the growing you've been doing, you are in size 6 month clothes now, and you're still in size 2 diapers.

You're still such a good little sleeper.  Since last month, you've transitioned to your crib for night time and naps. Your Merlin's Magic Sleep Suit arrived and I'm happy to report that it works like a charm. We've started using it during naps, as well as at night. Your naps are finally predictable thanks to that little sleep suit. You take 2 short morning naps, a long nap from 3-5, and a little 20-30 minute catnap around 6:30 while I finish up dinner.  We do bath, "bottle", bed at 8:00pm,  and then I dream feed you at 10:30.  You wake up anywhere from 5-6:00 and then go back down until 8:00am when I wake you up to feed you before I leave for work!

Speaking of are still eating well! You eat approximately every 3 hours, and we are still rocking this nursing thing. You take one 6oz bottle while Mommy is at work. If I had to guess, I'd say you are going to l.o.v.e baby food in a few months!

It's so fun to watch you grow and develop and learn what you like and dislike. You are truly the happiest baby. You love going on stroller rides and playing on your play mat. You get so excited watching the little birds circle around and you are getting great at batting the toys to make them move. You love laying on Mommy and Daddy's bed and watching the ceiling fan. You light up when Mommy, Daddy, and Chapman talk to you. You LOVE sitting up, so we got you a little Fisher-Price Sit-Me-Up Floor Seat, and you're so happy when you're in it. You do not like being held like a "baby".  Instead, you prefer to sit/be held upright. Overall, I can't really think of much that you don't like--you're so easy going!

In your short little life, you've already experienced your first hurricane {from afar, in Atlanta}. Thankfully it was {relatively} uneventful! While we were in Atlanta, you had your first trip to The Varsity, and you met the majority of your cousins on Daddy's side of the family. Mommy went back to work, so you've been adjusting to life with a sitter in the mornings, and of course you are perfect little angel for them!

Last, but not least, some of my favorite pictures from the month...
