Keeping Up WIth the Smiths: F O U R months O L D!

Henry Mills, you are F O U R months old! How is that possible? It seems like just yesterday that we were headed to the hospital awaiting your arrival. You're getting so big and becoming so much F UN!

I can hardly believe you're four months old, baby boy!

This was a well check up month so we got accurate stats for you. You weighed in at a whopping 17.02 pounds--you're 80th percentile for weight! And you're 27 inches long--98th percentile. You make your daddy proud, son!

You've graduated to size 3 diapers, and size 6 month clothes fit perfectly. 6 month pajamas are getting too snug, so we got you some new 9 month jammies!

You are still a great sleeper, although you hit a rough patch when we got back from Thanksgiving break and started waking up between 2:30-4:00 every morning. Dang 4 month sleep regression. Mommy finally broke down and let you fuss it out though {I don't like the term cry it out!} and ever since then, you've been sleeping through the night again--thank goodness! At 4 months, you still go to bed between 8:00-8:30 and wake up between 5:30-6:30 to eat and then go back to sleep until 7:30-8:00. Naps are very predictable too. You take a short morning nap around 9:30, a cat nap around noon, and a good, long nap around 2:00 until 4:00ish. Some evenings you cat nap around 6:00, but some times you make it without that last little nap.

Food...you love it! I like to tell people that where your brother eats to live, you live to eat! I'm still so proud of the fact that you are exclusively nursing besides your one bottle while I'm at work. When you take a bottle, you suck down 6 ounces easily. You can go longer stretches between feedings now. You go almost 5 hours between feedings in the morning, and you're trying to wean/merge your dinner time feeding too.

You continue to be the happiest little thing. You l-o-v-e to sit up, so you sit in your sit-me-up floor seat a lot. If you're not sitting up, you want to be standing. I have a feeling you may be an early walker. You also love "riding" in your mamaroo. You're just a talking up a storm these days! If no one is paying direct attention to you, you talk louder to get our attention. You love your big brother, and he loves you too! You constantly smile at him. You laugh when mommy tickles you--it's the cutest thing. Bath time is becoming so much fun. You just kick and kick and kick and smile and laugh the entire time you're in the tub. You enjoy mommy reading you books, and *gasp* you like watching cartoons. {Insert embarrassed face emjoi.} I don't turn cartoons on for you to watch, but if they're on in the room while Chapman is watching them, you legit watch them. You started rolling over from your back to your tummy, but you don't do it consistently yet, which is fine by me! You had your first Halloween this past month. You wore your costume for a picture and then slept through trick-or-treating!
