Sixteen Girls and a Boy: Tales of a Blue Ridge Mountain Getaway

Last weekend sixteen girls and little ole Chapman made a weekend trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains. It was sort of a family reunion for the girls on Britt's mom's side of the family. I had not met some of the cousins so I was excited to be invited to join in on the fun. We drove up on Thursday afternoon and spent the entire weekend relaxing--if you can relax with 8 children, all under the age of 7, under one roof! Seriously, though, we just hung out and enjoyed each other's company. Oh, and we ate. We ate lots of good food. We could have fed an army with the amount of food we had in that house. Chapman did not hurt for attention while we were there either. There were 7 little girls who adored him and played with him the entire time. I'm sure he's wondering where all of his little friends are now that we're home!
 Ready to hit the road!
 We made it!
 A fun new seat!
Trying to capture our view...it's never as pretty as it looks in person.
He did a lot of hanging out and playing in his seat over the weekend.
When you're in a house with 9 women and you don't have wine glass charms...hair ties will do.
My main food contribution...the Southern Living Lemon Lime Pound Cake
"I'm having SO much fun, mommy!!"
 He loves books!
 A beautiful view!

Miss Charlotte hanging out at our dance party
Ella and Gracie munching on some popcorn at the dance party
She's a real live princess, I tell ya!
Aunt Judy was the life of the dance party!
 Gracie loves veggie straws!
 Carmen enjoying the fire :)
DeDe and Chapman enjoying the fire!
Hanging out with my baby boy :)
 Sweet sisters!
These girls had a ball dressing up in princess attire.
Gracie isn't allowed to have her paci unless it's bed time, so she kept trying to take Chapman's away...she didn't understand why he was allowed to have his paci when he wasn't sleeping!
Charlotte and Chapman...so fun to watch babies interact.
Early morning sunrise over the mountain. It was so much prettier in person!
Chapman was in heaven with so many little people to play with.
Nap time and snuggle time with this baby are the best.
When you it's cold and windy and you forget a hat, a lovey will have to do.
And that's it. Someone was happy to be going home to see his daddy!

We had so much fun meeting and spending time with new {to us} family. We can't wait until our next reunion trip!!
